Coach Mode Terms
Effective date: 2026-05-28 · DRAFT v1 — counsel review required
> Not legal advice. Working draft. These Coach Mode Terms supplement the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. They apply whenever you use the Coach Mode feature of CRMish — either as a coach, or as an affiliate accepting coaching.
1. What Coach Mode is
Coach Mode is a feature of CRMish that lets users in a coaching relationship share visibility into in-app metrics, sprints, and Locked-5 priorities. It includes:
- Coaching relationships — a coach is connected with one or more affiliates.
- Sprints — bounded periods where the coach assigns goals to one or more affiliates.
- Sprint nudges — automated messages from the coach to affiliates during a sprint.
- Visibility — the coach sees a defined slice of the affiliate's account; the affiliate sees the coach's name and shared sprints.
These Coach Mode Terms govern both sides of the relationship.
2. Who these Terms apply to
- Coaches — CRMish users who have invited or accepted one or more affiliates into a coaching relationship.
- Affiliates — CRMish users who have accepted a coaching relationship with a coach.
Both sides agree to these Coach Mode Terms by enabling or accepting Coach Mode interactions.
3. What Coach Mode is NOT
Coach Mode is a software feature. It is not:
- A professional certification, accreditation, or endorsement of any coach by CRMish.
- A guarantee of coaching quality, results, income, or any specific outcome.
- A substitute for legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice. If you need that kind of advice, see a licensed professional.
- A coaching contract between coach and affiliate. CRMish is not a party to any commercial agreement between you. (See §6.)
4. Coach obligations
By acting as a coach in CRMish, you agree:
4.1 Lawful use of visibility
You will use your visibility into your affiliate's data only for legitimate coaching purposes — providing feedback, advice, accountability, and structured assignments. You will not:
- Use the data to compete with, undermine, or sabotage the affiliate.
- Share the affiliate's data with third parties without the affiliate's written consent.
- Use the data for marketing, advertising, or list-building.
- Access the data after the coaching relationship ends (we revoke access automatically when the relationship is ended in-app).
4.2 Honest representation
You will not misrepresent your credentials, results, or affiliations to your affiliate or to prospective affiliates. If you display a public Track Record on /r/[handle], the data shown must be accurate.
4.3 Professional conduct
You agree to interact with your affiliate professionally. Harassment, threats, coercion, discrimination, or sexual misconduct are grounds for immediate termination of your account in addition to any other consequences.
4.4 Disclosure of compensation
If you receive compensation from third parties for promoting tools, programs, or products to your affiliate, you will disclose those relationships clearly.
4.5 No promises of specific outcomes
You will not promise your affiliate specific income, conversion rates, or other outcomes from your coaching, except as may be required by law to be permitted in your jurisdiction.
5. Affiliate obligations
By accepting a coaching relationship in CRMish, you agree:
5.1 Informed consent
You understand what data your coach can see and you consent to that visibility. You can review what is shared from Settings → Coach Mode at any time.
5.2 Honest data
You will not falsify metrics, conversations, or sales records in order to deceive your coach or mislead the public via a Track Record profile.
5.3 Ability to end
You can end the coaching relationship at any time from Settings. Once ended, the coach's visibility is revoked. No notice or justification is required, although as a courtesy a brief explanation often serves both sides.
6. CRMish is not party to your side-agreement
Coach and affiliate may have a separate agreement off-platform — covering fees, scope, deliverables, confidentiality, non-compete, intellectual property, or anything else. CRMish is not a party to that side-agreement and will not enforce it on either party's behalf.
If a dispute arises between you about that side-agreement, it is your responsibility to resolve, not ours.
7. Payments between coach and affiliate
CRMish does not currently process payments between coach and affiliate. If a coach is paid by an affiliate, the payment is arranged off-platform.
If we introduce in-app payments in the future, those payments will be governed by separate terms presented at the time.
8. Privacy and data flows
8.1 What the coach sees
The coach sees only the affiliate's metrics and sprint progress relevant to the coaching relationship. The coach does not see:
- The affiliate's password or login.
- The affiliate's billing details.
- The affiliate's other coaching relationships, if any.
- Other accounts the affiliate may have access to (e.g., team workspaces).
8.2 Sprint nudges
Sprint nudges authored by the coach are delivered to the affiliate as in-app notifications and (if enabled) push notifications or email. Nudges are stored in the affiliate's audit log.
8.3 Ending the relationship
When either party ends the coaching relationship:
- The coach's visibility is revoked immediately on the affiliate's next request.
- Past sprint history and nudges remain in the affiliate's account for the affiliate's reference but are no longer visible to the coach.
- The coach can no longer create new sprints or nudges for that affiliate.
9. Suspension and termination
CRMish may suspend or end a coaching relationship if either party violates these Coach Mode Terms, the Terms of Service, or applicable law. We may notify the other party where lawfully permitted.
We may also pause Coach Mode features account-wide if abuse patterns require it.
10. Disclaimers
- Coach Mode is provided as is. We make no warranty regarding the quality of any coach, the accuracy of any affiliate's data, or the outcomes of any sprint.
- The Terms of Service §15–§16 (Disclaimer of warranties; Limitation of liability) apply to Coach Mode.
11. Reporting concerns
If you believe your coach or affiliate has violated these Terms or behaved inappropriately:
- For non-emergency concerns: support@crmish.io.
- For abuse, harassment, or threats: abuse@crmish.io.
- For immediate safety concerns: contact your local authorities first.
12. Changes
We may update these Coach Mode Terms. Material changes are posted here and notified by email.
